Hi there! It's been a while since I last posted but right after Christmas my 14-month old brother had to stay in the hospital for a week. So you can guess I couldn't post right then. And the past two weeks I really got so much homework to do that I couldn't even do it all. While I need to do much more homework I'll finally get my blog alive again.
This time I'll talk about the book "The amazing Maurice and his educated rodents". I had to do this for my Fast-Lane English class. To be honest I'm not really happy that I have to write about the book because I rather talk about video games or something. I don't like reading books really (except of Harry Potter and Adrian Mole), especially this book.
The book is about a talking cat called Maurice. He meets a bunch of talking rats who call themselves "the Changelings". They can talk because of some magical stuff they ate at the dump of a Wizard School. The rats give themselves strange names like Dangerous Beans, Hamnpork, and such. Someday Maurice and the rats meet piper Keith, who is called stupid-looking kid by Maurice. Together they travel to towns to act like there's a plague of rats. Then Keith plays his flute so the rats will follow him. Every time they do this they earn a lot of money. The rats want to go to an island to start their own rat village. Maurice just wants the money (I think, I just forgot this part) and Keith things everything is okay as long as he can play his flute. The rats want to stop acting like a rat plague so for the last time the group goes to Bad Blintz. In town they find out it isn't quite as normal as it seems. The rat catchers don't actually catch any rats, they just cut up some shoelaces for money. Maurice and his gang try to find out what's going on...
To be continued (perhaps)...
